Modern Brains Academy Preparatory School offers the UCMAS Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Program to help learners develop concentration, memory, mathematical ability, confidence, speed, and accuracy through structured mental arithmetic learning.
What is UCMAS?
UCMAS stands for Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System. It uses the abacus as a learning tool to introduce children to structured mental arithmetic and progressively develop their ability to work with numbers mentally.
As learners progress through the system, they practise visualisation, concentration, memory, speed, and accuracy. These skills complement classroom mathematics and encourage children to approach numerical tasks with greater confidence.
